webravebees: If Jimmy Fallon isn’t enough to get you to watch, how about a 35 year old Mark Paul Gosselaar dressed up as a 16 year old Zach Morris? Best. Ever.

The Office cast. No offense to Jan, but she doesn’t belong anymore. Definitely not at the expense of Phyllis and Meredith; both of which are unfairly sharing a spot.

The Funcooker Round-up

Question: What’s your current favorite television theme song?

The members of The Funcooker weigh in!

- - - - - -

jeanjulienkahn: I’ve always been a big fan of the CSI : NY theme song, “Baba O’Riley” from The Who.

spamula27: The Venture Bros. theme song! J.G. Thirlwell - No Vacancy.

horrorbot: Oh oh oh, The Big Bang Theory!

largecokenoice: Friday Night Lights. It’s not quite Explosions In The Sky, but it’s damn close enough. Also, it was written by a dude named Snuffy. And you just can’t mess with that.

somakun: Flapjack. Because it’s fun singing along to a song about finding a place called Candy Island.

jeremyespiritu: What else? THE OFFICE!

kushitokiku: My initial answer was The Weed’s “Little Boxes”. The fact that they had different artists cover the intro each episode was genius and I looked forward to hearing it. But they stopped using the song all together so it’s sort of disqualified. Next would be Mad Men’s “A Beautiful Mine” by RJD2. I could watch/listen to it for hours on end. (House’s “Teardrop” a close second.)

angfoo: How I Met Your Mother!

webravebees: This simple question is far from simple, mostly because I usually skip over theme songs when I’m watching anything on my computer (which is most things) unless they’re too short to even bother (Heroes and Lost come to mind).  I watch some shows, but I hate their theme song (So You Think You Can Dance, Dollhouse to name a few). I know favorite doesn’t mean I love it, because who can love something you see every week that takes away time from actual plot, but to be frank, there are few theme songs I can even conjure in my mind.  Of course there is The Office theme song, which is a contender for its sentimentality (fan from day one - it’s been a long journey and I can’t say I agree with every turn), Chuck gets a nod for its brilliant use of Cake, Friday Night Light’s gorgeous instrumental theme gives me chills to this day, but How I Met Your Mother’s theme brings a smile to my face and therefore wins this round, at least today.

Am I the only person that roots for Toby? The series finale should end with Michael and Toby as BFFs. Although it may disrupt the space/time continuum, it’ll make me feel all warm inside.
